About the work
Portal began as a permanent intervention inside a wooden bridge at Banffy Castle: three infinite-mirror boxes surround the walker, transforming an ordinary crossing into a ritual of transition. Slowing down is not requested - it is induced.
The work is built on the Infinite Box, a structural module the artist developed and returns to across his practice: a mirrored chamber with an internal light source that opens a corridor of endless reflections.
A new iteration of Portal is now part of the permanent exhibition of the Immersive Museum Sibiu - a multisensory passage in continuous transformation.
